Hi:
I'm looking at a 99 YZ125. Its a one owner bike. When owner was changing piston and rings he didn't get the clip secured correctly. He states that he kicked the bike and and 1 to 2 seconds it bogged down and quit running.
Owner says it needs new cylinder and piston. Bike is in otherwise good condition with extras. He wants to sell it for $475.00.
I'm wondering what the chances are that the bottom end got screwed in the process? Specifically journal bearings, bent rod, bent crack, etc . . .
Further, if I buy this bike I'm interested in purchasing a new cylinder and I'm wondering what you've got.
Finally, I saw a ported and polished Athena cylinder and piston kit new on e bay. Is that a recommended kit?
