Rich, sometimes it's easier just to bone 'em out and get the backstraps. You don't end up with near as big a gut pile . . .

but, if you wanna get traditional, always start by cutting around the bung

ok, ya ready......well one female coyote I shot on a ranchers place....(they do lose thier urine (and bowels)) well, now, being a "big bwana" predator caller/hunter......
I held a small bottle to the urine stream and collected it!!! LOL

Scent masking/male yote "come hither" kind of thing.
