trying to pick the best ones to show off..hehe. Hopefully the racers will see them too!!
99-250F Schboy 12-15 Class Start:
Battle at the start of the first turn between
#175 Jake Loberg of Ham Lake, MN and #343 Rhett Cagle of Broken Arrow, OK
Chasing Chase :)
the 85 7-11 Mod TX Class gives chase to #976 Chase Marquier of Newcastle, OK. Marquier went 1-1
Bryan do the racers know you are there and where to find the shots? Your work is too good not to be making you some $$$. I'm lucky in that I've got pretty much a monopoly where I shoot but even then it's about marketing and making sure the customer knows where to find you and your work.
Also how about race reports for people like Cycle News and perhaps some interest from some of the amateur mags like Holeshot and Amateur MX?
I can feel the cold in those shots! Well, I am not that far from there and it's cold here. Cagle looks like he is about to wash out while Loberg is cutting the turn solid. Your focal length catches the throw off from Loberg's front tire while not blurring the riders.
I pushed a few business cards after the race :)
Plus the forums are a good place! I like posting here more than anywhere, cause you guys always have some constructive replys about the pics.
Cycle News is good for the local races, dont know about the others.
But never considered myself the type to write race reports....
sometimes I think about that type of thing, then I come back to reality hehe.
Vivid :)
Sharpening was up pretty high too. I think higher than it should have been, from what some d300 users have experienced (from forums).
Contrast was +1, all others default. Was also using ev compensation of -.3 a lot.
center weighted/averging metering for most of the time, at default of 8
the second image is oh, about a 50% crop of the original.
I was actually a fair distance away.
