A New Type of Storm

A snowicane! It's snowing so hard here it's like white out conditions, yet we have hurricane force winds, thunder, and lighting!

Has anyone else experienced something this crazy before?

Thunder and lightning during a blizzard???

Hi Squeeks,

Yes. I saw this several years ago. We didn't have the big winds, but we had the heavy snow fall with lightning and thunder with it. It's weird, that's for sure. Especially at night. When the lightning flashed it made it seem like you were looking at a picture negative. black snow on a white background, instead of white snow on a black background.

I've never heard of something like that before. We get lots of snow and wind, but lightning is only in the spring/summer. Weird.

the storm is a wet mixy snowy rainy sleet. certainly ripe weather for some T&L

We got about 10 inches of the stuff last night. Yeah, a white Christmas :)
