a or b cylinder

I want to replace the piston and rings in my 1994 KX125 and I am confused on which piston to buy. They say that there is an A cylinder and that there is a B cylinder. How would I find out which one I have? Can I tell by the VIN number? Do I need to go ahead and take the cylinder off and measure it with a caliper or what?

I just replaced mine and the stock is a B cylinder.

The cylinder should be stamped A or B or C etc. Do a search on this site Im sure it's been talked about.
