Kermit gets his Star on the walk of fame. Now I always thought that this whole star idea was pretty gratuitous for a start, but giving it to a puppet character, how lame is that - What next, STAR's for Mickey Mouse and co. er ... does Kermit ride a dirtbike .... I think not !

maybe we need a dirtbike walk of fame, put in there some real stars ......

We can start with Steve McQueen, Evel, and Malcolm Smith !

Preposterous! Kermit the limpwristed non commital muppet frog. yep, Bundu, you're right, we may as well put the effeminate Mickey Mouse in there too. If you're gonna give up stars to muppets or cartoon characters, give one to Wile E. Coyote, he deserves on for all he's been through!

Lets leave Evel out of this.
1. He didn't ride a dirt bike. They were Harleys.
2. He crashed more than he suceeded. (Though I have to give him credit for trying)
3. He was/is an A**hole.
:p

I think all you have to do is come up with $5G and you can get yourself a star (as long as you've been in a movie, on TV, or on the radio). Oh, and a petition.

And Steve McQueen is already there

Actually Bundu, there is a dirtbike walk of fame, sort of, at Glen Helen. When you walk down vendors row, there are plaques in the concrete of significant riders. The two I remember seeing were Roger Decoster and Torsten Hallman. There were others, I just can't recall them.

Hey now! Remember, Sportsters are the original dual purpose bike. Besides Evel rode XR750s which aren't street legal and were designed specifically to be ridden on DIRT.

He had Cajones El Grande and was as American as apple pie.

And what's wrong with that? :moon:
