Hiya guys, got a mate with a 98 wr400f with a tricky problem. The bike just wouldn’t idle. Do a dyno on the bike and it is 9HP down on a standard bike, he have change a new carb, ignition, overhaul the engine, change pipe and almost everything he can think of, but problem still persist. :bang:

And if he manage to let the bike idle, it would rev up pretty high rpm and only when he let out the clutch a little, then the idle will come down to normal.

According to him, he replace with yz cam and ignition. All valve clearance is checked and bike will start up in 1 or 2 kicks.
Pls advice guys… :worship:
