Wow, I am deeply saddened. I had been hoping and praying that Mark would pull through, and beat the cancer. I will really miss Mark, although I only got to ride with him twice in 05.His spirit and willingness to share his knowledge and possessions with other riders is an example of what makes MTR special. My 1st time riding with Mark was at Horseshoe with Ted, & YZMan. I had posted that I was interested in a new bike and Mark was quick to offer his brand new 450 to a complete stranger for a test ride. I didn’t get the opportunity that day, as he was feeling a little weak and had to quit early, however I was able to take him up on his offer at Camp Chaos that fall. Many of you remember that infamous test ride, the test ride involved Woodsy and Aaron and I getting separated from the rest of the group and not finding them for about an hour. How many of us would be able to take that in stride, I know that to Mark really believed what he said " Yeah, life is short! The saying goes that the one who dies with the most toys wins. Not true - the ones that use their toys to enjoy time with others wins! " Mark Weissenborn
Mark is a special guy and he will be missed by all of us on MTR. I know that Mark has gone on before us to Heaven and I am sure that he will be in charge of testing all of the awesome bikes God has for us to enjoy when we join Him there. Until we ride again, Godspeed My Brother

I never got to meet Mark. It just was never in the cards. Really messed up when you figure he only lives a few miles from me. Now I never will. RIP, bro. You will be missed.

A very sad time, indeed. He was always one to seek out the best in everyone, and a true inspiration to us all. I knew Mark for many years, and he has always been my number 1 riding buddy. We'll ride again one day.

My wife and I attended the funeral today. I must say, it was a beautiful service. I was quite impressed by Mark's son Andy - a very couragous young man to speak at his father's funeral...not an easy thing to do. And of course, Mark's passion for motorcycles came out. Most importantly, his love for his family and his family's love for him was absolutely clear. Rest in Peace Mark.

Just about every time I've had the privilege of riding with the great folks on this board, I've had the pleasure to ride with Mark. He will truly be missed on this board and even more so out on the trail. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Along with 15 or so other MTR friends of Mark, I attended the visitation service Friday evening. There was a large poster on display with pictures of some of Mark's favorite friends and memories. Mark had put this together himself a few weeks ago, and had it hung above his desk in the home office. It was evident that we got to share in some great memories along with Mark.

I also gave Marie a hardcopy printout of all the recent posts everyone has contributed regarding Mark.

Thank you so very much for the print out of the postings by the motorcycle guys. I read each and every one of them last night. it was a joy for me to read the stories and the memories and to hear things about Mark spoken from an entirely different group of people. Thank you-- they were a blessing to me. i shared them with Mark's brothers as well.

The first time I ever rode Cedar Creek (fall 2003) Mark was one of the riders I met and rode with that day. He was one of nicest guys you could ever hope to meet. It was starting to be a tradition of riding with him in the Muskegon area in eary spring and late fall. I will miss him. Here is a picture from Cedar Creek, 9-26-04
