Acerbis Rally pro on Protapers for CR

I had a shop recently put on some protapers with the Acerbis rally pro handguards. The mounting clamps that hold the guards on the handlebars are not flush with one another. It seems like the screws on top and underneath the handlebar that go into the clamps only are engaged a few threads. There is some space there, and I am curious if that is the way these things are or can you get longer screws, or do I have the wrong kit all together. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks

Acerbis makes a pro taper mounting kit. If your installer didn't use this, then he rubed it together with the standard mounts.

Yes,
Since the protapers are fatter than standard bars you need to go to your parts man and get the differnt mounting kit.
Also if you are having problems clearing the break, throtal or clutch cable, go to you local hard ware store and pic up some long bolts and a aluminum space for each side. My dad and i have to do that for the moose bark busters. It works great.
