Advice: '04 CR250R mods

Hello everyone, just looking for some advice. I have a 2004 CR250R that I race Senior C MX. It's bone stock, and I'd like a little more low end power, or better throttle response down low. It seems to lack low end (which is the way this motor is from what I've gathered). I'm looking for advice on what to do about it. I'm considering EG's mo-better porting, as the bike has about 20 hrs. on the top end anyway, so it's due for a top end job before racing season starts. I've read that his porting does wonders for this motor. Is this where I should concentrate my efforts, or would I be better served by messing with Vforce reeds, jetting & gearing first? I'm betting that the porting will be the way to go. Thanks in advance for your responses!
