I'm pretty sure the intake manifold on my 03 CR250 has a very minor air leak, but I won't have a new one available before Wednesday (going riding after a sales meeting, 4 hr drive).
I was told that epoxy or a rubber repair kit can be used on the outside of the manifold as a temporary fix, any suggestions? Yes, I will be ordering a new manifold.
Btw- I came to the conclusion that it's the manifold after spraying engine start on it while the bike was idleing, that raised the idle up ever so slightly. Unsure if it was the manifold or the manifold/reed/cylinder mating surfaces, I smeared a thin layer of black silicone on the mating surfaces. Taking it riding today resulted in the same high idle, slightly poor running condition.
