Ok, Mr Rule book here.

After reading some of this i was like dam, i need to look and pay attention. Since i have an A/F if the price was goofy, then pretty easy way to get an expensive ride. BUT this is some of the rule pertaining to MX and claiming.

" THe claiming price shall be 30% OVER manufacturer's suggested retail price, using the kelly blue book or nada appraisal guide and include the complete motorcycle or minicycle."

thats part of the rule. so it would seem that the 3900 figure was attained that way, not sure what the price of that bike was but the formula is arrived at through the process above.

10% above retail is the claiming price? If the tracks were rough enough I'd say it isn't needed. Todays tracks are fast enough with no challenge that horsepower is now more important than rider talent.
