Winter has finally returned with a vengeance to this fine North Idaho burg, bringing snow and wind, and some pretty heavy drifting. What does this mean, you ask? Well, it means your friendly neighborhood XRpredator has to show up to work at 3 am to mind the phone and the radio in case anyone has trouble. A guy can get a lot of work done when he doesn't have any distractions. or not . . .

Sometimes I miss being out there on a patrol . . .

This almost makes up for all those 4 day weeks you've been bragging about.

I'm at good ole' workie work. My train was EMPTY this morning. Red and all my riding buddies... have the day off...

Did I mention that Chicago has been having freakishly warm temperatures and it's supposed to be 57 and sunny today and I'm stuck in this hellhole all day?!?

Yep, it's usually in the teens with a foot of snow on the ground this time of year. Oh lookie - that's the forecast for next week. :|

Chicagoians - enjoy the beautiful riding weather today - I'll watch it out my window. :debil:

Nikki, at least you have a window seat.  I am surrounded by cubicle walls and my riding buddies are sending me pictures of their day in the dirt. :ugg:

I have a sickening cold that has been on and off every week since October...

But I don't feel so bad about being at work cuz it's 36 and snowing out...not exactly my idea of riding weather.

I was alone, I was all by myself
No one was looking, I was thinking of you
Oh yeah, did I mention I was all by myself
All by myself...
All by myself...
All by myself...

I went to your house, but no one was there
I went to your room
I was all by myself
You and me had
Such wonderful times
When I'm all by myself,
All by myself

The storm yesterday eve. was awesome. It was freakish, a total full on blizzard with lightning in it. I figured the kids were seeing transformers blowing due to all the high wind we were having but then I saw the lightning for myself. Actually I didn't see a bolt of lightning, rather burst of light all around us in the sky. I have never seen it in that hard of a snow storm before. I ventured out to take the neighbor kid home so she didn't have to walk and visibility was about 30'. I didn't have to work today so I was spared the drive up to Hailey. I bet it really dumped the snow up there.

 All this started cause I was going to get my bike out and ride over Christmas weekend. I'm going to have to put some time in before Reno. :ugg:

Bike was in the truck all day......at work. It was 55, foggy like nobodys business and drizzling on and off all day. My last 2 rides of the year were both rained out :|

I like to dream yes, right between the sound machine. On a cloud of sound I drift in the night, any place it goes is right. Goes far, flies near, to the stars away from here.

Wimp! ;)

Scooter1130 and i just spent the day riding in the rain. Heck with 55 degree temps who could resist. I'd rather rain and warm then cold and dry. :)
