I read with interest the AMA's response to Giuseppe Luongo's open letter. In the AMA's letter they state;
"The letter notes that the sanction fee for a World Motocross round has been lowered from $800,000 to $300,000 for 2004. Evidently, this was done to make a GP more affordable to promoters. While we don't publicly disclose the terms of an individual sanction agreement for an AMA Motocross event, suffice to say that it is significantly lower than $300,000".
So... How much of a sanction fee does the AMA charge a promoter for SX or National? If I was a promoter of a World Motocross round and was charged $800,000 for a sanction fee and its now going to be $300,000. I would want to do this :flame: on someones head! Jeepers, talk about mark up!
