Did anyone else hear that an American was captured in Afgahnaatan? HE WAS FIGHTING WITH THE TALIBAN. What should be done with the guy. Is he a prisoner of war, due the rules of geneva. Or is he a traitor, due death?

He is well on his way to becoming very wealthy if he plays the media right. All he has to do is use the "Patty Hurst" defense, and the book and movie deals will start rolling in.

I think we need to uphold his rights, make sure he is not a victim of bad parenting or society, give him a fair trial, THEN LINE HIM AND ANY OTHERS LIKE HIM AGAINST THE WALL AND SHOOT THEM AS THE TRAITORS THEY ARE!!!!!!!!:p :p :p

He's NOT an American. He ceased to be an American when he picked up a gun for the Taliban. Let the military court try him as a war criminal then shoot him!

The thing is if he's not American, he can't be executed. If he's American.....I don't know what legally can happen.

If he is still considered an American and he raised a weapon against our own military, I believe he can be charged with treason. Isn't treason punishable by death?

I can't believe this littler f*&^er has the balls to even say those words!!! Does he really consider himself to still be a citizen of our country???? I say we bury him up to his head in my front yard and let me get out my John Deere!!!!!! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrkachunkrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr .. End of story.

They had a couple of lawyers on Fox news last night that said he should be tried by a civillian court for sedition. Sedition was the crime the Rosenburg's where executed for.

He should be returned to any village that he may have been assigned to. Then let the villagers do what ever they want. I sure they can come up with something appropriate.:p

As far as holding a U.S. passport, he lost the privilege to be a citizen of the U.S.

One of the privileges of being a US citizen is that no one, even if they are a criminal or a traitor, can have their citizenship taken away.

Hmmm. Citizenship cannot be taken away but I think it can be renounced. If he renounced it then he should be treated as a prisoner of war but obviously he hasn't done that 'cause he stated that he's an American. Therefore what he's done is treason. He incriminated himself. Baaad move.

It's absolutely clear that the fella renounced his citiizenship when he raised his gun with the taliban. And, btw...you CAN be hung for war crimes without being an American.
I say we also arrest his parents for allowing him to go to train with Al Qeada.
