I'll start off by saying that I won't be looking for about another year, when I should have the funds available for something like a bike. A friend and I are looking at getting into the sport purely for fun/something to do. (both currently 25yo)
1) your physical size (both height and weight are important)
5'11" 175lbs
2) How physical / aggressive are you ?
not very aggressive
3) what do you plan to ride- MX/SX tracks, woods, fields with friends or ?????
I live in MI, so looking mostly at the ORV trails in the Northern LP
4) Do you have any riding experience?
None whatsoever
5) Do you think you will race ?
Nope
6) Are you mechanically inclined and will you be doing your own bike work?
Absolutely, except maybe mounting tires to the wheels
7) Do YOU have a preferance to a brand/ motor choice (2 or 4 stroke)?
Whichever will enable me to spend more time riding than fixing while out on the trail. (I realize that may not mean anything.) I think I'd lean toward 4-stroke, not totally sure why, though.
8) Do you have a dealer close by your home that you might use and what brand(s) does he carry?
I live in Metro Detroit, lots of dealers, not opposed to buying used
9) How much ($) do you plan to spend on a bike?
Ideally, ~2k or less
10) Do you live in California?
Michigan
11) Your age?
25
12) anything else that you think would help form an opinion
As I mentioned before, I'm not looking to break any records, just looking to have a good time.
