the officials completely screwed up and probably cost the browns the game but the league will let it stand.

I only saw the clip of the incident. From the spectator side it looked like a bad call. From the replay it was an obvious incomplete pass. No matter what the call is THE FANS IN CLEVELAND SUCK.
If I owned the team or the stadium, I would close it up. What a show of ignorance on the part of the Cleveland fans. Disgraceful.

No, mx547...those aren't ordinary disgruntled fans, those are idiots.

The team owner just changed his tuned today. Stating that his statements after the game, "those were plastic beer bottles and I doubt they pack much of a wallop!" were wrong and he was "totally responsible for the statements and that he had bad judgement in making them."
We have all seen bad calls at ball games but these "idiots" take the cake. A five year old child was hit in the head with a bottle, he said he didn't want to come to another Browns game. This was his first time to a pro football game.
I expect the NFL to fine the Browns for the action of the fans and they may also receive sanctions next season. This was just plain stupidity.:uh:
This just re-inforces the reasons I don't watch the NFL.

In South Africa, if the fans disrupt a match, the home town team loses the game and is heavily penalized.

Noisy raucous fans are acceptable and is what being a fan is what its all about. Mob violence is not, and should not be tolerated.

I went to the South Africa vs USA rugby international, and it was a lot of fun, the referee got booed, and the South African fans were making a huge noise most of the game, but if you looked at them, there were smiles all around, and both US and SA fans were treated to a great day out. No doubt the kids in the crowd went away with a sense of awe and pride.
