i am geting a new bike and have been doing a ton of reading up on rm125s yz125s and yz250fs. i have ruled the 250f out as a bike that i may buy after reading about the need for frequent oil changing and the need to keep everything in spec much more than a twostroke. Now i am still debating between an 05 rm or an 05 yz so now it comes down to perfomance. So to wide this down, i would like to know from those of u that have ither of these bikes what problems if anyhave u been having. Thank you.

My son doesn't have a ton of hours on his RM but so far it's been a great bike as have our last few RM's.

Yep it'll be doing a lot of blowing(up) soon enough. Have you never read any of the posts on here and everywhere else about 250fs? You have to maintain them properly or they'll eventually give way and leave you with a hefty bill (often approaching $2000).

fmx_mike6sic6 - I have an 05 YZ125 and love how light it is, feels like an 85 (weight wise) compared to my 03 KX125. I'd certainly recommend one. Haven't tried the RM but have heard good things about them...
