Hey all! I just signed up for dirtweek 05 and am coming from Northern California. Any suggestions for the camping/riding down there would be greatly appreciated!! I'm totally excited!!!
Thanks for setting up your User CP and updated information relating to your location. Grab a spot on the couch and tell us a bit about yourself. How long you have been riding, what kind of riding you prefer, yada yada.
As far as questions about DirtWeek, I would preuse the FAQ stuck at the top of the DW forum. If you have any questions after digesting all the info, post them up in the DW directory and you will get piles of responses.
Again, welcome to the site and shout if you have any questions.
Like the country boy said... "Get N da truk!" We know you're going to bring some pimp clothes... just try not to make us look too bad okay!
What do you need to bring? Maybe some jello, a clown wig & a sleeping bag. Who cares! As long as you bring your bike & some gear everything else is gravy. Way to go Frodo (Naugle)!
Thanks Tony! ... and Dave, are you renting an RV? Or are we going to be roughing it? I know you are hard core BUT at this particular event I think we should get an RV since it is more than just a day or two. KEWL? You and Angela will have plenty of opportunities.... there are lots of port o potties there right??? ha ha ha ..... memorial weekend will live on!!!!
A little bit of info for yous guys!! ha ha I actually lived in OKC from '86 to '92. I rode a yz80 back then and raced a little over by the base when Vicki and David Eubanks ran the place... that was a great track. Anyways, I quit and started back up in '99 when I met Dave Bird and his comprades out here in California. I was in the Air Force then.... great times. Dave and "Corn Dawg" Cornell Cantern, had a place in Yuba city that had my bike, a '99 kx125, and atleast 5 other bikes in their garage. Bench racing was whole lotta fun over there! Anyways, I switched to an '02 yz250f... then December last year bought this '05 yz450F. It's a little too much bike for what I comfortable with since I only ride like once a month. BUT I will be getting the new yz250f this year when it comes out. Soooo I currently have not ridden in 5 months.... due to injuries from soccer and motocross... and then of course the all mighty work place. Soooo I really am looking forward to taking a chill pill on the bike and enjoying the good company in Oklahoma! PS- I ride tracks only.... not much of a trail guy... unless it's a family thing!
