yeah I've got a 00 250 but would rather something a bit newer, still a great bike for what it is.

yeah, i have a 2000 model 400exc and i love it! have just replaced front fork springs as the standard .42's are too soft.
rejetted the carb with a OBELN needle and 162 main now the thing RIPS through the midrange and topend, much better than stock. went to 2stroke single cable throttle conversion to give a quicker throttle action (recomend this mod!).
after having lots of jap 2strokes i really love the ktm, the quality of the components is really top-notch and the bikes are nice to ride. ergos seem to suit taller guys like me as well IMO.
if any KTM riders out there have not looked at KTMTALK then you should as there is so much good info on that site.
