Anyone Else Working Today? (July 5th)

Thought I'd save a vacation day and come in to work today. Besides, it's nearly deserted so I might actually get some stuff done. Like, picking my Fantasy MX riders, etc.! :D Seriously though, it feels like a Monday. But, tomorrow is Cooperland, baby! Woohoo! (Yes, I'm rubbing it in. :debil: )

Watch for a new movie on Sunday. This one should be bigger and better than the last one from Wardy's. Hopefully better quality video, too.

Talk about no traffic this morning.... I think I must be the only person in DC that actually had to work today..... At least my 25 mile drive home will only take 25 minutes as opposed to 2-3 hours.... :p

I guess I should have titled this thread "Anyone Else At Work Today?", since it's clear that very little actual work is getting done! I came in earlier than normal, so I get to leave at 2:00. At about 9:00, one of the other engineers will be rolling in and I am doing some testing on multiple projects for him, so I will be busy for a while. I've also got some 1st article samples to proof out (read: take lots of measurements, then do lots of strength and durability tests. Yawn.).

But hey, the lack of traffic was very nice this morning. Only about 1/4 as many crazies on the road as usual. (I was out there doing my part!)

Freakin month end accounting close! I was so pissed today as I got a front row parking spot at the train station. Chicago was a ghost town this morning. Sad thing is, we have half day Fridays in the Summer - but doesn't look like thats gonna happen for me today, either.

Well... at least I can look forward to tonight.... GOING TO RED BUD!! :confused:

Here I am really working and try to call the Dr he is gone. Last Tuesday I have several cardiac tests and he mentions to call him thurs for results. I mention it is the 4th so he says call Friday we will be open. I just got off the phone and you guessed it we will be open Monday thankyou for calling.

I guess I'll just sit at work and hopefully someone will post a ride report so I can at least dream of riding while sitting at work.... (Don't mind the motorcycle noises I'm making, they should stop here shortly....) :confused:

Working today - yep. working on the yard (them trees really needed cut back) working on the bike (ride tomorrow & Sunday) working on getting a few beers icey cold for this afternoon. :D

These days off are tough!

Time to head of to Home Depot to get some concrete patch. :ugg:
