Anyone make a "seat handle strap" for lifting bike

DIY "seat handle strap" for lifting bike out of mud?

My GF just bought a KX100 for trail riding, and unlike my KDX220R it has no rear frame under the fender.
This makes it very hard to pick up out of the mud at times.

So, I just went and bought some 1.5" wide webbing (like the kind you would see on a backpack strap - looks almost like a tie-down strap, but black) and was going to just screw it to the seat bolts with washers or something to make a grab loop over the back of the seat?

Anyone else done this? Tips? Pics? ideas?

I made one for my XR200R out of some old seat belt webbing. The frame on my bike extends out bast the back of my seat, and has some mounts for the rear fender, so all I did was re-enforce the webbing at the ends, and then squeezed it in between the rear fender and the frame (my bike has no sub-frame, the frame is just one piece) and put the bolts back in holding the rear fender. It has worked great for pulling the bike over logs and out of mud holes, and this way my gloves don't get covered in muck. I'll try to get some pics up soon, or I can email you some.

KX60's come stock with one that might fit a KX100 with a little effort.

How did you reinforce it?

I took an old tie-down strap, and cut it to length. Use some standard (tent or vinyl tarp) grommets to reinforce the holes and attach behind the seat bolts.

I just doubled it up. So far the strap has held up fine. A better re-inforcement would be to use grommets (like the ones used in a tarp). I'll try to get pics up next week, I'm gone camping this weekend.
