Anyone replaced bar mounts on 06 YZ250?

To go to pro taper bars I was going to get the oem oversize bar mounts off a YZ250F or 450F, since they come with pro tapers, but they are on backorder until Dec. 30. Does anyone know if the oversize bar mount kit that pro taper sells would bolt up to the stock 06 YZ250 triple clamp? That seems to be the best priced bar mounts I can find right now, but I know they advertise it for the rubber mounted bar mounts on the Hondas and Kawasakis. Or does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks.

For my 06, I used the bar clamps that are sold with cheaper pro taper triple clamps. I think you can buy just just the bar clamps too. But because the pro taper bar clamps were surpose to be on a thinner mounting surface, the bolts on the were not long enough. A fast trip to home depot too care of that, $1.60 cents for two bolts and I was in business.

Thanks a lot, I got the pics. So those mounts have the bolt that threads into it from the bottom? Other than that they look about the same as the oversize bar mount kit that pro taper sells for $39.95 retail. I emailed pro taper and asked if this kit would work with the 06 YZs and they said they had not tested it yet but that it should work "if there is enough metal on the top tripple clamp to take up the space so the threads can get a good bite". So I am now thinking they will work.

Well there is not... because the bolts they provide that goes through your triple clmap and into the bar clamps is not long enough... Thats why I had to go to the home depot and round up some longer ones. Its worth it though, because the stock YZ bars sucks so bad... even the bend is really bad.

ran into the same problem with mounts being on back ored so got the applied racing mounts part # 2311 60$ i think. Stock height also

Thanks, I'll probably just wait for the oem ones off the F bikes and everything will match up nice and pretty. :)
