WOW! What a challenge that was! (and I only did the family enduro) I learned so much in those few hours. Mud doesn't scare me anymore. I can't believe my little bike made it. Yamahas RULE! The more I ride these events, the more respect I have for all of you riders. How do you get your bars through those trees? What a great event. Thank you VTR.

Thanks for all that came out on Father's day weekend to enjoy a great weekend of events.
Thanks to all that stepped up and help put on a good event!

154 riders on Saturday and 150 on Sunday.
Not a bad weekend!

That was the 4th "family" enduro(all this year) that I have run after a almost 30 year break from dirt bikes. I thought Picker Valley was tuff. It was still a Great time and thanks to the people who put this on! Made the mini moose seem like a road race course.

In the UP Sandstormers defense > The MM & LM are now "easies" because that's what most everybody wants.

Thanks for the humor guys!

Sandstormers are a**holes for making their enduro so difficult in the past, so we make it "easy" this year and we get nothing but good reviews.

Now, VTR puts on a difficult event and they're great... while the Sandstomers get thrown under the bus for being too easy.

Sheeesh...

PS> To be clear, this is not a slam on VTR, I'm glad they had a good event!

I think the Up sandstormers did a great job and I will be back as long as I still riding, next year I will ride both events. The mini was the best trail I have ever rode(fun) on . The Vtr was more difficult for a new rider but if all the trails were like that I wouldn't be going to all of them.

I have no horse in this race Magoo.....but your post reminded me of this gem: "If you try to please everyone, no one will be." I'd like to say I learned that lesson long ago......but its one that I tend to re-learn from time to time.

I never heard any one complaining about this years LM event or throwing it under the bus for being easy except for Nick and DW. (And I think DW just likes to get Nick going.) I DID hear many, many riders complementing the event as them having a great day riding their dirt bikes and that they would like to come back if it was like this - I would consider that success when the majority of the customers are happy and satisfied. So good job!

VTR event was not hard, it was just muddy-but finish ratio was still pretty good and it was still challenging, yet fun. I think they did a good job too but an event later in the year would allow them even more land to use as less of it will be under water.

I thought BOTH were very good events, my opinion.

:yikes: So then the best enduro riders are the fastest? I like to think not. the best enduro riders can ride any terrain faster. Yes this years LM was CHICKIFIED and it was a HUGE succes but so was last years event when a 8 time national champion says it was the best enduro he ever run what says you to that? The sandstormers are the only club I know of that gives a complete new course every year. AZZHOLE is right on the demon lives He'll be back

For someone that claims to always have the biggest and baddest enduro every year, you seem to be severely intimidated by the success of the VTR enduro. Keep the "sandstormers are the only...." comments on the other thread.

I don't want to speak for the Sandstormers, but I don't think they claim to have the "biggest" or the "baddest" enduro every year. In fact, to their credit, I don't think they care that their's is the "biggest" - they only care that it is the best event they can put on - which is always going to be subjective, depending on who you ask.

IMO, "biggest" does not mean "best".

A big THANK YOU to all clubs/groups who help promote off road events in Michigan. It is A LOT of work and we appreciate it. Both of the series have good 9-10 events with a variety in types of trails and formats. Life is GOOD!!
