Is there a dirt road to the Cafe? I can't really ride due to the neck/shoulder injury -- but a smooth one-hander down a fireroad through the desert sure would take some of the sting out of this protracted non-riding period.

Maybe even could lead some newbies in a tutu parade.

I'm not sure but I would have to think that there is an easy way to get there. Just come on out and have some fun.

I would love to go, but get this---I'm playing in the orchestra for a musical at the local college for the next two weeks! ("PIPPIN")
Rich----still trying to fix your bike I see!:( Did your daughter race last Sunday? We met Kelly Yancy there Saturday. She rides an MXC400 for KTM. Nice girl, and a very stylish rider!:)

Well KTM the pipes definately history. I dont think any pipe shop has a chance with that one. I went down to Fontana Radiator to see if they could fix my radiator. Unfortunately, thats unrepairable too. So I guess a new radiator is in order here. As for the daughter, she rode the Women class on Sunday with Kelly and about 18 other women. She was maybe 4th but seized her bike about 3 miles out from the start. Man do I have bikes to repair or what? This is going to be one costly month for bike repairs. As for Kelly, I met her in the pits. She's a pretty impressive rider. Not to bad looking either (dont tell the wife I said that). Seeing her out there kind of boost the daughters ego about women riders.
Did you both days?

Dang, two newby's and only one tutu. Never had this happen before.
They may have to share.

Not up to riding yet, but, I may have to come out with LT just to record the carnage.

"I like it alot"

LT there is a road, but being the helpful guy I am, I don't know the name of it or how to access it except by dirt bike.

I don't have much use for truck roads once I hit the desert :aj:

I plan on going, as long as nothing else comes up.

Scar, if you need help getting some scars on that new ride I can give you some pointers. I`m pretty good at getting my bike to lay down in the dirt.

See you guys at 9 on Sunday.

Man, ktmboy, you come up with the lamest excuses. :D

I've got to fix the kitchen sink, repair the sprinkler system, tear out some rose ****es, dismantle the old TV anntena, change the oil in the trucks, and a bunch more stuff around the house. Really. I've succesfully avoided this work for 3 weeks now, but Tuesday I mentioned riding on the weekend and the hammer came down. You guys have fun. :debil:

When I grow up and I get old like KTM I hope I can learn to play a musical instrument. On second thought, forget it, I cant help getting old but Id rather ride.
BTW KTM, Kim talked to James and he said your good. How much did you pay him to say that? ;)

You boys have no respect for the arts! And I'm a horn player, not strings. I have yet to meet a string player that rides, (except my boy.), but the guys I hang with are real @$$holes! Get this: my buddy that plays the Euphonium builds Harleys!
I would love to do Elsinore, (here comes another lame excuse William!), but Saturday I'm playing ANOTHER concert with a different orchestra than the one I'm playing on Sunday.
The musical gig goes one more week, then I have a 3rd orchestra to play with on the 17th, if I want to. I might do this gig in trade for some private lessons for my boy.
I guess if I could ride like I play horn, everyone would ask me to do that too!
And believe me, I'm really gonna miss seeing the new piglet get its first scratch!:p
Boodac---sorry to here about the DNF. We were there Saturday only. It sounds like you and I will be ready to ride around the same time: you with your repairs and me with my music!:D

Boodac---James says I'm good 'cause I'm section leader in the symphonic band, and he knows it'll get back to me if he says anything bad, and I'm a vindictive SOB! HaHa!
Actually, James is no slouch himself. I've played with him for two years now, and I've tried to give him helpful suggestions when I can. Playing horn is like riding for the first time: you crash and burn alot while you're learning.

The ride tomorrow sounds like it'll be a heckuva lot of fun.

I'm hoping I can hook up for the ride tomorrow, if y'all don't mind another raggedy rider hangin' on.

Just givin you a hard time, actually I think that's really cool. One cousin is a studio musician; he plays jazz trumpet and sax. All my cousins from that side play very well actually, and all of them played at my wedding 2 years ago. I had friends tell me that that was the best wedding music they've heard. :)
