Thanks for the run down folks. I just gotta throw in my opinion of the FMX (and mulisha... I don't care for the whole thug thing either but let's not be stereotypical... not all people who dress that way ARE that way). It reminds me of how a kick ass band evolves. They eventually put out a crappy album. They can't help it, they are evolving. For better or worse it happens. The sport is evolving, for better or worse. It can be hard to embrace, I understand.
I got some MX machine rag and I thought it was going to be all about the machines, nope it's all FMX. And it had a big interview with "Twitch". Looking at the pics and reading all the wanna-be-gangbang-thug crap disgusted me. I got over it in 5 minutes though; I don't know the dude, or his freinds. It could be a huge joke to them, or not. Doesn't make them bad guys though. It can be hard not to stereotype.
I'm new to it so I can't brag about the good old days or anything. I'm not afraid to admit I love watching FMX and wish I could do those things. FMX wasn't what turned me onto the sport, I've always wanted a bike since I was probably 6 or 7. Welp, I got me a job and finally got around to getting one when I was 21. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
