Ol'89r LIFETIME SPONSOR Jan 27, 2000 6,961 45 Sep 20, 2003 #2 franco. If you rev the engine while in neutral or with the clutch pulled in, you are most likely hitting the rev limiter. This is normal. If it does it while pulling in gear, that is not normal. Just my $ .02
