Any ninjas out there want to devulge their balance training techniques? My wife showed me some yoga techniques that may help improve balance. I'm just wondering if anybody works on their balance, off the bike, and what they do to improve their balance?

Two words: Mountain Bike.. I practice track stands all the time, even in winter, in the house etc.. .. Riding a mountain bike in tech stuff is all about balance. I also practice track standing my dirt bike..

This year I'm going to try and get out on my mountain bike a little more often, I just read an article on endurance training with a mountain bike; so I'll kill two birds with one stone:)

From one unseen ninja to another...buy a trials bike ...not much on endurance, but good for technique and balance ... and good for upper arm strength

You might be suprised what kind of endurance it takes riding a trials bike for extended periods of time over technical stuff. Remember no sitting and you use your entire body to jump up obsticals. I ride mountian bikes to and it is a demanding ride as well.

You could alway try freestyle bmx. I do that stuff all the time when i can't ride the big bike. you would be surprised how hard it is to balance a bike 15 ft in the air on top of a 1.5 inch rail. thats is if you like that stuff. who knows, you could end up in the X-games for dirtbike and bmx :)

I would love to pick up a trials bike, but I think that I have pretty much used up my "wants" for a little while. I just talked the wife into letting me trade the YZ in for a 426 woods bike as a second bike:)
