I purchased a set of the Scott nylon bar mount cones for my 98KX250. The directions say to torque to manufacturers specification. My Kawasaki service manual does not specify this particular torque spec. Any suggestions would be greatly appreiciated.
How do the nylon ones fit? I just got the fastway aluminum ones and they protrude out of the top and bottom clamps about 1/2". I think they may be for a CR though... Mislabled..
The nylon cones fit just like factory. By the way, I contacted Scotts regarding the torque specs. They recommended to torque by feel but should be between 25 and 35 ft lbs. How do you like the solid cones? Did they change the feel of the bike?
