First, I was wondering if they still open on Fridays?

Second. I might be able to come up the w/e of September 15th/16th. Any local available to guide? We would be slower "B" riders.

You can check their web site for hours: texasmotorizedtrails.com.

I really enjoy Barnwell and would love to join you, but I don't think this weekend will work for me.

Got the hours but no takers so making a little closer trip. Funny, I got 12 guys going on it! So worked out after all. Going to Cherokee Cycle Park, never been, hoping it's worth the drive!

Thanks, maybe next time on the Barnwell deal. Just too far for me to risk going up alone.

I'm planning on going to Barnwell on Saturday with at least 1 son and 1 daughter. We should be there by 9:00, riding until around 3:00ish.

Seldon

Jim and James: I'm certainly up for a Kiamichi trip in the near future.

We had a great time at Barnwell Saturday. After riding some single-track, then some faster trails, we spent the afternoon having a hill-climb fest! For those of who that haven't been there, you can spend as much time as you want climbing hills that go from mild to very extreme, with a good variety of terrain and obstacles.

The trails are marked (2 diamonds, 3, 4, etc.), so you can usually get a sense before you're too far committed of how difficult the climb/descent will be ("Uh-oh. I can't turn around!") . With the impact of weather and traffic, the signs aren't always accurate though. That just adds to the excitement! :-)

After scoping out a steep climb, with its obstacles of rocks, logs and step-ups, it's a real adrenal blast to make it up and come charging off the top of the trail!
