Basic KDX200 mods

Howzit guys. I just got my first bike last week and am busy learning the ropes. I have 96 kdx200 motor which I am about to rebuild and was wandering what basic mods I could do to improve performance whithout compromising reliability too much. It seems such a shame to open the whole motor and not do do anything exciting with it!
