I've been using Belray MC-1 @ 40:1. Good stuff. I have some H1-R, and am waiting to use up my MC-1. I too am interested in how well it does.

i am currently using mc1 myself but at ratio less than 50-1 like it says on the bottle it tends to foul spark plugs when i ride in the woods at low rpm but i cannot make myself mix anything at 50 - 1

I've also heard rUmors that the MC-1 Gumms up the Exhaust valves, Although I have not seen any eveidence to support that rumor. I really hav'nt heard anything about the H1R. Just bought some out of curiosity.
"Curiosity Killed the cat" I hope it don't kill my Bike!

I am on my last tank of H1R, switching to Yamalube 2R. I read some interesting comments from Rich about the H1R possibly not offering the best protection. No studies on it, but there were instances where H1R appeared to be a common factor in some issues with top ends. I wish I could remember the specifics but I can't, and my Word document with my notes in it will not open for me for some reason. It may have been what Senior has already pointed out.
That said, I've been running H1R since the bike was new last July, and haven't had any trouble yet. Just thought I'd make the change for posterity.

Maybe Rich can refresh my memory as to why the H1R may not have been the best choice? (I hate getting old!)

I've been running the H1R in the Mamba for the past year(99KX310) and just completted my top end. SeniorKXRider hit the nail on the head. My powervalves had quite a bit of carbon build up but were still functioning properly and moving freely. I run a ratio of 40:1. The most difficult part of the tear down was the removal of the butterfly valves and the main actuating rod. This required some gentle pursuasion. The head had a small amount of carbon on it but I used some B12 carb and choke cleaner on it and it just wiped off. My piston and rings were at the end of the service life but all in all the cylinder looked good, no scoring, the old piston still appears good but I did not measure it with calipers.
I have thought about going to a 50: ratio but doubt that I will. I'm continuing to use H1R but may change if Rich's review of a product is favorable. The product allows you to buy premix oil in buld and dispense without using a measuring cup. click here ps: I'm trying to talk these folks into advertising of DRN, waiting anxiously of Rich's review.

I was a true beliver in Yamalube 2R until I tried Mobil 1 MX2T and I love the stuff. Been using it for the last 6 months. I purchase it from Auto Zone.
You might see if you have any petro/lube/grease distributors in your area that sells Mobil products.

I have been using H1R for over 3yrs. now and I love it, except for the high price. I have only had one top end failure with it, but that was my fault. I was trying to get a little more usage out of my CR's top end than I should have, this resulted in a broken circlip that destroyed a cylinder, yes, I learned my lesson. I run this stuff @ 40:1 with pump premium.
As for the carbon build up, its not too bad, there are some way more nasty oils out there.

I don't post often, but I would like to share my experience with H1R. After finishing a recent enduro, our chase crew came back to the pits with a troubled look on their faces. It turns out that most of the riders came in, got gassed and out they went, no problems. Well, my wife was having a few problems and didn't get gassed up with the rest of us or with the right fuel. Someone filled her up with about one and a half gallons of four stoke (straight) fuel. She only runs a 2.1 tank on her '95 Rm125. She left the gas stop before anyone realized this. After they told me this I was really expecting her to be brought back in the back of somebodys pick up ready to kill her mechanic ( me).:( . Well, I waited by the road for a while but no Rm. Just as I was about to go look for her, she comes riding up like everybody else. She didn't even know what had happened. Her last loop had her burning another gallon of fuel. Now, I mixed at 40 to 1, so with the addition of 1.5 gallons of straight mixed in with no more than .5 gals. of 40/1 you can figure, she was running that little 125 at quite a diluted ratio that last 30 miles of south Jersey sand. I was impressed, but even more so after tearing it down the next day. Expecting to see at least some sign of abuse, I found none. Now I know that my wife doesn't push that motor as hard as some do, but anyone riding through sandy conditions knows that you can't baby it either. I am a believer in H1R's protective capabilies. I now mix at 32/1 and will stick with Bel-Ray!l

I ran yamalube for a few years and my top ends looked great.
sometimes trail riding i would foul a plug in my 95cr125,but other wise
never had a problem. Just recently i got a 99 yz250 and the owner is
running Amsoil race 2000 at 40:1. This bike runs so good with that oil
and the piston that was pulled looked as good if not better then the yam 2r.
Very clean burning oil,I'll be switching to Amsoil race 2000.....
