MX South ( www.mxsouth.com/cotoc.htm ) a DRN sponsor has Bell 7s on sale for $169, , along with a number of other great closeout deals.

It's great helmet for that price.

Ridegear.com has Oneal Element Boots on sale for $87.95. I had a pair a few years ago, and they broke in real easy. They are no Alpinestar Tech 8's, but they have good protection and comfort for the price. If you are looking in the $150 range you might want to consider the Alpinestar Tech 4's.

For a chest protector I would suggest the Shift Standard Roost Deflector. It is pretty comfortable and stylish, but at $69 it is on the cheaper side of the spectrum for the regular style over the jersye protectors (which i would reccomend).

Helmets I like the Fly 606 ($89.95) and Fly Lite's ($196.95). I got my Brother a 606 for christmas, and got my girlfriend at Fly Lite. They both seem happy with them, and the 606 is pretty similar to the Lite even if there is a pretty big price gap. On the cheap end is the GMAX GM24X helmet which sells for only $59 and is Snell and DOT approved!

RideGear has free shipping on orders over $149 right now. If you call you might be able to get a good deal on a closeout helmet that may not be listed on the site (02 Fly Lite for example).

Anyways, happy shopping.

I recently purchased a fly lite 2 replica (Tim Ferry #1).  I paid 139.00 at my local shop, but have seen them on the internet ranging from 279.00 all the way down to 79.95.  It has a carbon fiber/ kevlar composite shell, fit well, is really light, and has a pretty cool paint scheme.  I am really happy with it.  I haven't bashed my head on anything (yet) since getting it but it feels sturdy enough to provide reasonable protection.

The sizing runs a little big, so I would check them out at a shop before mail ordering one.

I have found the best source for gear to be Ebay.  Lots of deals to be had on there.  For instance i bought my Tech 8's on their for $185 and a new pair of Fox 360 pants for my son for $35.00.

You have to look and be carefull, but the deals are there.
