Hi, I have just got my engine back from the shop (been in for powervalve push rod replacement) and am doing the second rebuild it has had after a total of about 50-60 hours of use. When looking through the bikes manual it says to check for any noticable play on the big end bearing so i have. There is play side to side but none up and down. I would like to know if this is ok before i put the new piston in it. If i do have to get the bearing replaced how would i do it? Pleasew reply because I am hoping to go out and break it in tomorrow if all goes well. Cheers

trelecht99.

That's ok. There has to be a little side play inorder to lubricate the thrust washers on the big end bearing. As long as you have no up and down play you should be good to go. :thumb:
