bike for furniture deal done here

it was two years ago and my beloved fj1200 yamaha was getting long in the tooth. i had been itching for a zrx1100 and pitched the idea to the wife. she asked one question " how do you propose to pay for it?" i put the pencil to the paper and said "this is how" and she said "great! go do it (with a suspicious smile)" so i had this bitching green monster bike that i thoght i would never own.

part two..two months later we get our tax return check in the bank and she says " honey i want new furniture" i kind of squirm and she says well you argued that the zrx was for me too since i sit on it for at least a week a year. the furniture i want you will sit in every day! nuff said we got the furniture!!! i still think i got the better end of the deal!!!;)

in regards to swifts comment on speeding ticket

well i havent gotten a speeding ticket on it .............yet. i did get a ticket that believe it or not cost more than a speeding ticket. had the bike about a month and went down to austin, tx to do some riding with the guy i had sold the fj1200 to. we were cruising an fm road and came upon two pickups pulling 16ft trailers full of junk. they were going 30mph and stuff was bouncing. we pulled out and blasted by them.....there was a curve 1/4 mile up the road. we got back over and ill be damned there was a county sherrif coming after us. i do stupid things but running from cops is not my bag. we pull over and i know we are about to receive a piece of paper that is going to cost me a lot of money. but i say if your gonna play ya gotta pay for the times you dont get caught. im nervous because when i last looked at the speedo i was doing 110. like i said i didnt get a ticket for speeding though. he said he was going to write us up for passing in a no passing zone. ok at least im not going to jail. well i call up the court and yikes they tell me its $350 bucks!! guess who used his defensive driving to get out of it.:(
