What do you guys do about blocking off the air box when you wash the bike? I am paranoid about getting water in the air boot so I have always duct taped off the top of the air box on my YZ250F which was really easy because of the airbox design. With my sons '04 KX65 and my '05 YZ250 this is much harder to do well because of the air box design. But maybe I am just being a little crazy about this. What do you all do?
I have thought about getting a couple of those air box covers that are used for wahing the air box and I have just recently started thinging that I could make them from tuperware type containers.

I triple layer tinfoil and then take off the filter and wrap the mouth of the air inlet put the seat back on and wash. I had a twin air cover but couldn't find one for my new thumper so I punted

I take a plastic grocery bag (make sure it has no holes in it) and put it in the air box so it surrounds the filter. Tuck it in there so it shields the filter from stray water shots. It's not totally foolproof but it keep the direct water hits off the filter.

It may be a bit of work, but you can get one of those small rubber kick/four square balls that the kids play with. Cut it in half or size it to fit over the air filter. Since it is fairly rigid, it will hold its shape and stay in place, yet is easy to bend and get into the openning. Then replace the seat and wash away...............

Twin-air air box cover too here. I used to try to just duct tape it closed but it's just so much easier with the air box cover. They are kinda expensive for just a piece of plastic, I think the're about $20, but they are worth it. Throw that on and power wash your air box with out a worry.

Another happy twin air cover user here. It's expensive vs. what it should cost, but it works great and makes cleaning the airbox so much easier.
