I'm a newbee, only had my bike for 10 months, learning as I go..

I have a '92 Kdx 200, before I put in a new topend I was getting oil all over my airfilter and all down the side of my bike from the breather hose (which terminates in the airbox)

Now with a fresh topend (did it myself) my filter has been showing no signs of oil from the breather

I guess my question is, Can blowby force oil out the breather? Is that normal? Am I looking at replacing ?? Crank seals? I dunno

Thanks
Wibby

Ten months!!...and you don't know it ALL by now?

;)

Exaggerate for effect...too much blowby will get past the crank seals. They aren't meant to hold back a gazillion psi.

I thought your scooter ran pretty good!

Maybe a bit more glaze breaking on install? Ensure your cylinder isn't out of spec (tapered). Take it to a shop to have the bore measured with a bore guage if there is any question.

Run it 'til it breaks!!
