Boyesen Power Reeds

I put the power reeds on my 01 KDX220R using the stock reed 'rev plates'. I found the reed installation instructions afterwards and it said to use the enclosed 'rev plates'. Will the stock rev plates interfere with these reeds?

Yes they will :scream: . You need to pull it apart, remove the stock reed stops and install the Boyesen rev plates.

(I didn't say it was a DIFFERENT opinion......;) )

While your doing it, ensure the reeds sit 'closed' on the cage. If they don't, turn 'em over. I think it sez that in the instructions.

ALSO, make sure the stock cage is put back in correctly. It fits 180º out just fine, but the alignment of the carb boot to the cage will be fubar.

Maybe a dab of loctite blue on those screws................
