I'm not even sure how many of you guys even run a headlight. But I friend has an HID setup from Baja Designs, and I was quite impressed. Not having the $600 I looked into what the setup really was, some headlights allow for an H-4 bulb, so it's as simple as putting an HID h-4 bulb into the houseing then attaching the ballast and ingnitor.. The power consumption is about 35watts... Less than a lot of high output halogen setups. But still parts and all you are into it for at least $300......

I happened to notice that my Acrebis Blitz uses MR16 halogen bulbs.. I have also seen a lot of LED spotlights using an MR16 housing..... This could result in a headlight that draws about 5 watts of power, and produces an Ultra bright light similar to HID. I doubt it would be as painfully bright, but the cost is conciderably less...

Does anyone have any experience in this? I am Highly curious if you can make this work.
