I have an Xr250 04 model. I have changed the back sprocket to increase low end tourque, I'm trying to keep in a budget but also increase the ponys a little at a time so to get used to it. So my question of all the things I can do what order should I do it. Example carb jetting, exhaust, cam or bore kit. these are some ideas I had not in any order please add if I missed something. Thanks

Here's a link to some simple but very effective XR400 mods that can for the most part be applied to the XR250 as well.

i have put a kn airfilter, bored 40 thousants 10.5:1 compression wisco piston, portpolished, new clutch, choped the head down 10 thousands for around 11:1 compression, and put a 135 main jet and next size piolet jet. to my 95 250 and it runs great. also cut the welds out of the header. and i think that is it.

i would start with intake (air filter, K&N, Twin Air), exhaust, and jetting that will let it breath a lot better, plus give you a good base for any future mods.
