Can anyone help me sort my carb setup

Iv'e got a KDX250 SR and it runs really hesitant and flat. Previous owner unwelded orig exhaust and removed baffles, then changed main jet from 145 to 155.
I've changed filter, reeds are fine, raised needle - which gave top end power but lost even more bottom and middle.
Any one got any advise cos i'm going mad!

it sounds like to me it is running to big of jets
