Carbon Fiber Air Boxes

I am looking at getting a carbon fiber air box for my 2001 YZF 426. Has anyone used either the box from GYT-R or DSP? I would be interested in hearing what your opinions are on either of these boxes!

Steve 125 did alot of dyno work with a carbon airbox and found it lost power-a few others have said the same.

What kind of bike was Steve 125 doing the dyno work on? I have heard that the complete carbon air box did not work as good on the 426 as did the carbon airbox with the stock boot. Do you know if he tried either of these combinations? Thanks for the help!

It was a 01 yz250f with the complete carbon box from DSP, we lost about 1hp at peak. We never rode the bike with it only dynoed it. I talked to Doug Dubach in length about what we found and he didn't dyno one but felt a performance loss when testing. He is coming out with his own carbon air box soon and knowing Doug it will out perform the stock box or he won't sell it!

If Dubach is coming out with a carbon air box, I think I'll wait for that one! Everything else of his, that I have bought, has been awesome! Thanks for the information.
