Carbs

I have a pocket bike, and a stock xr50 carb. They mate up almost perfectly, can use dremel to port and match.

Now the question, can I use a 4 stroke carb for a 50cc on a 2 stroke 40cc motor?

Would I need to go up or down on the main?

I would really appreciate any feedback, cuz i'm getting my back side handed to me for a friend w/ exact same bike :ugg:
