Yesterday was a long day, leaving my house at 0300 to get to eastern San Diego County by 0500 to meet with the Sherifff's Swat team. We had to serve 7 search warrants on different locations that involved an ex-Border Patrol Agent selling stolen cars, trucks and construction equipment. I couldn't mention it before for obvious reasons because we were still buying items from him but it all came out yesterday. We recovered 15 cars, trucks, bobcats, trailers and a water truck, all new, from this thing. We also located some stolen diesel generators and the cars we got were stolen off the lots from the local dealerships.

The place I went to in Easter San Diego County was a compound that had near 40 acres of land and seven structures. It was a kick to watch the SWAT guys blow the gates with their armored vehicles and then toss the flash bangs in the buildings. We had to chase one idiot into the nearby hills, which turned out to be an extremely large marijuana grove. It was neat to see the K-9 do his work and "flush" him outta the brush though!:) We found three groves with over 2200 plants and yes, I had to help cut them down, and NO, none fell into my socks or pockets! I did seem to get a bit hungry and had the munchies during the ordeal!

It turned out to be a big circus out there with all the media and such so I tried to hide out as much as possible, couldn't really get my face on tv, kinda blows the rest of my undercover operations you know!

Oh yeah, we also got a stolen dirtbike out of it also, that means this thread is dirt bike related.:thumb:

Just wanted to share a fun day of exploration and flash bangs!:yeehaw:

See Twinny, now you can sleep in peace knowing I'm standing on the wall for you and your family!:thumb:

way to go Elkster :thumb: reading that part about the weed patch reminded me of when my dad and I happened upon one of the county sheriffs in rural Arkansas. He and his boys were cuttin and burnin as they called it. Also were eating a lot of pork rinds and doing this :yeehaw: around the fire :)

It was fun Jeff, but a long day! The equipment gets returned to the owners and the dope gets burned! I volunteered to help burn the stuff.:flame:

Okay, I really have to ask this question (like everyone else here is really wanting to but just too polite): When you guys do those burns, do you "accidentally" stroll downwind a few times? Or is it a big policeman-faux paux to be caught walking through the clouds? Or is it pretty much impossible not to get stoned? Because in the few news clips I've seen, there sure seem to be a lot of guys "helping out". So I was thinking about getting me a scanner & little kids' Policeman outfit and showing up once one of these burns was about an hour or so underway. I'd bring chips, Kool Aide and a boombox playing some Led Zeppelin & we'd all have a heluva afternoon. Then the chief would give me a medal for being such a good cop, and we'd cry over beer, talking about 'Nam & the 'Cong, and poor Joey we left behind when the VC ambushed us in Da Nang. Then you'd get all jealous because you used to be the chief's favorite, and you'd plant some coke and kiddie porn from your personal stash in my locker. Jerk. None of the guys will really believe it was mine, you've had it in for me the day I started on the force. But when you realize that I'm not out to get your promotion, you'l feel bad and confess. It'll be too late, though, because I'll have already stolen your old lady & ran off with her and a million dollars I had imbezelled and retire in Mexico. Take that, you rat.

Otherwise, congrats on getting to nab some really bad guys and save the day. And thanks for sharing so that us non-coppers could live vicariously through you.

ELK,
I'll be working JSO here in KY, Joint Special Operations that is a program worked out with the KY State Police and the KY Guard. It's really funny to be out cutting pot and have "Jimbo" come up and ask what we are doing. "Well we are cutting and burning your pot." "This is your pot right?" Jimbo..."No it's not mine" Me...."Excuse me but arn't those the same buckets I saw on your porch last night?" Jimbo, "No officer, sombody took them." Well you know how it goes from there :)

I wear BDU's with no ID on them, not to mention all the zip-strips I need. Most growers run like they are about to get infected by the plague when they see a Hummer crashing into their front yard like an angrey monster and a sound system from the chopper from above "You are under arrest by the KY State Police" :) That is alot of fun! No stand offs yet, thank god but if it comes I am packin' the heat.

BB, it goes like this, those that have the weapons will overcome, those that dont will suffer.

It all boils down to those that have to those that have not. Belive it or not the Good Guy's have the good stuff!
