change from 2 stroke to 4 stroke YZ

I currently ride a 01 YZ250 stroke and love it. I recently got on a 03 YZ450f and liked the fact that it was so easy to ride, ie, hold speed consitently around the corners etc. I can ride my 2 stroke ok for only riding for 2 yrs but my friends think that i will be faster over all on the 4 stroke. I think that 450 may be to big of a bike, im 508 160lbs and im leaning towards a YZ 250f, will i miss the power from my 250 2 stroke and what might be the better choice

Riding a 01 250 and loving it and you wanna switch to the 125 class (that is what the 250f is)? Yea I think you wil reqret that move!!! The natural step would be "upward" or at least horizontal (that would be 450 fourstroke). Why switch if your loving it??? Ther is nothing like the good ol 2 stroke hit - well maybe the crf hit from bottom to top!!!!!!!
