Changing sproket sizes? advice.

I know by changing sproket sizes you can produce more bottom end power or torque and top speed or vise versa. What sproket sizes change what? Ex.. Smaller sproket in the front would equal? Or bigger rear sproket equals??? what Im looking at trying to get more torque and more over all top speed. Is that even possbile or can i only acheive one or the other.

Smaller front equals lower speed/more torque. The opposite holds true for the rear, where a larger sprocket decreases top speed.

You can only achieve one or the other. The only way to get more torque and more top speed is to put more power through the gears.
