Chin Strap Snapped !

Yesterday, january 27, I geared up for a ride with my friends.

I pulled the chin strap to tighten the helmet......and the strap PLAIN BROKE OF !!.
The metal clip in the AGV Rock MX shell was completely rusted through !

I thougt that a MX helmet is constructed to handle a sweatty head, and the fasteners should at least be rust proof.

Thank God it happened before the ride. Immagine what would have happened if
I crashed with that thing on my head !!
I might aswell could have gone riding with a baseball hat insteads of this lid !:p :p :p

If I were you, I'd invest in a nicer helmet next time

HJC helmets are extremely nice, and with helmets starting out at around $130 they're well worth it. They are all DOT and Snell approved also :)

The same thing happened to me about 3 years ago with a old (5yrs)Bell moto5,pretty scary.

What is really scary....
I wrote the story to AGV but no reaction whatsoever.......
They seem not to care.
