Choke problems on a PWKa/s Help Please

I recently changed from a 36mmPJ to 38mmPWKa/s. I have the air screw out 2 1/4 turns and adjusted the idle low when the engine was at running temp. When I pull the choke and start the engine when it's cold, the engine races very very fast. It'll start even without the choke, it will be just a little faster till it warms up.
I don't what to blow up the motor when its cold.

I ordered a DSP Power Now, but now I'm afraid it will make the problem worse.

I did have to turn the idle screw in a lot to get it to idle at all.
Does this mean the pilot jet is way to big? :scream:

Is the air screw responsive w/ the idle screw in so far? try and down jet the pilot. In the interm, if the bike starts w/o the choke don't use it. All the choke circuit does is supply an extra amount of metered air and fuel.

The more I turn the air screw out, the idle gets a little faster. I'm down to a 42PJ now and going to order a 38 and 35 PJ. I think it's still rich. I can't see how any Keihin PJ or PWK can use a 55 or 60PJ and still idle. I see it on some stock jetting charts for other brands.
