Anyone have any experience with a Clark tank on a mid 80s dual-sport single. Looking at one (4.3 gal for my 1984 600XL) and would appreciate experienced comments.

I have one on my crf450. I like the fit. It was full of plastic shavings when I first purchased. I had to rinse with gas and filter it out with paint filters a few times before it was clean. Other than that I likey
The plastic bits are common on most aftermarket fuel tanks. It happens when they drill out the holes for the petcock and fuel filler hole.
The fit of the Clarke tanks tend to be very nice. I have had a few for different types of bikes and I've installed many of them on other bikes and quads. They always looked and fit great. Plus, since everything is done in house, you can get a tank in under a week to your doorstep
