Has anyone put a Clarke tank on their 05-06 YZ250? I just want to know what the easy way of making it fit the top of the frame is. Looks like it requires that you modify the rubber pad that goes over the frame backbone. I suppose another way would be to put washers between the tank and the tank brackets (making the them reach further down). As it sits now with no modifications, the tank brackets are about 3-4 mm short of the frame mount and don't line up.

Ahhhh the fabulous world of aftermarket parts!

I've heard of an easy fix for this but I can't remember what it was. I'd give Clarke a call or email as I'm sure they will help you out. Ask for Chris.

Heck with Clark, GET the acerbis it is a little pricey but it is one FINE tank. I wish they made one for the CRs.

I'm suprised, always had good luck/good fit with Clarke stuff. I'd do 5mm longer bolts w/loctite and the washer shim thing.

I've had great luck with clarke tanks. I put my clarke from my 04 YZ250 to my 05 YZ250, no problems.

I would call them and ask.

I just put washers between the tank and the tank brackets to lower them down slightly and everything lines up. Here is what she will look like by this weekend!
